When he came across the story of Chris Mc Canless on the New York times, he failed compelled to learn more about his miracoulous journey. And I talked about.....

And they called him the hiker and I know a hiker was found in the wilderness in Alaska and the more I red ? In the back of my knucles stood up cause it was like he talked about...


He has been there for months and he died of starvation and they found his body, this note book,

his journal, talked us there was an increasingly furtil and desparate attempt to survive.


This SOS note, ultimately when he knew he was going to die and it was like it just got to me.

His research into Chris' s reasons for living behind modern civilisation To live in the wilds of Alaska became « into the wild now a motion picture directed by Sean Penn


It 's all based on research having said that I 'm really I was obsessed with researching my book

into the wild for three years I mean I wil get a lead and I would get into my nissan pick up truck and drive from Seattle where I was to Arizona , you know.


So I interviewed everyone I could find who knew him on his journey, interviewed his hight school friends, his family and I feel like I really came to understand who he was.
